Astrology can be defined as the practice of reading the movements and patterns of the planets and other celestial bodies and correlating them with life on earth. It rests on the view of the cosmos as holistic and interconnected. The energy combinations of the planets affects humans, which in turn affects the mass social mood on the planets. If a large mass of people participate and interact to form a market place, then the planetary behavior can be used as a proxy to predict financial market behavior. So the sentiments of the masses affect the movement of the stock market.
In financial astrology Sun, Mercury, Venus, Moon and Mars are the key trigger planets. Each planet has a specific meaning, as these planets interact with each other, the energies affect human behavior, which in turn affects the markets.
The Moon and Sun are two planets which greatly influence the stock market. The Moon takes approximately 29 days to complete one revolution around the earth. Likewise earth takes 365 days to complete one revolution around the Sun.
When there is zero degree longitudinal angular difference between two planets it is called Conjunction. A conjunction may be positive or negative based on planets involved and / or the angle that the conjunction makes to other planets simultaneously.
A 90 degree longitudinal angular difference between two planets is called Opposition. The financial crisis of 2008 is a classic example of opposition between Satrun and Uranus which led to fall in the markets worldwide.
The Conjunction between Moon & Sun is also known as New Moon Day. In financial astrology a conjunction marks the beginning of a cycle and normally the market makes bottom on new moon day.
The Opposition between Moon & Sun is also known as Full Moon Day. In financial astrology a Opposition tends to coincide with the peak event and normally markets make the top.
The new moon and full moon dates in 2022 were correlated with Nifty Tops and Bottom, to test the efficiency of Moon movements with Nifty movements.
Nifty passed the efficiency test 14 times out of 24 times, so success ratio is 59%.
